Overview

Understanding General Dentistry

General dentistry is the foundation of good oral health. A check-up at Rennoch includes an examination of your teeth, gums and soft tissues, a mouth cancer screen, any X-rays you need, and a look at changes since your last visit, so problems are found while small.

We talk you through what we find, show you any X-rays on screen and give you practical tips for looking after your teeth at home. Your recall interval is based on your own risk, so some patients come every six months and others once a year.

Good to Know

Is This Treatment Right for Me?

That depends on your oral health, your medical history and what you hope to achieve. An examination with one of our dentists is the best way to find out.

How long does treatment take?

It depends on the treatment and on you; your dentist will give you a timescale in your plan.

Do I need an examination first?

Usually, yes. An examination lets us check your teeth and gums and explain whether this treatment suits you before anything begins.

How much does it cost?

Fees depend on your plan. A new patient exam is £65, and you get a written estimate before treatment.
